Interview reimbursement

I was offered an interview in an academic job in the south. They offered to pay for the hotel and cabs, but not the airfare. Is it common practice? The university said will pay for everything if a second interview if needed.

That sauce is pretty weak. If they want you, they should show it.

Agree - I got reimbursed for everything when travel was required for my interviews last fall.
