Interview Question - Class rank

Will anyone ask in an interview, "What was your class rank?" Is this detailed somehow in your dean letter?

My school will only mention if you're in the top third.

Ditto - Our school will only mention it if you are in the top 25%.

Now I wish I had gone to another school. My dean's letter lists my numerical rank xxx/xxx for MS1, MS2, MS3. I don't feel so good, but I'm sure I feel better than the person on the absolute bottom.

I go to a bottome half East Coast medical school with just H/P/F. During the interview trail, I was asked a couple times what quartile are you in? Since Iserson said be honest. I was honest with my response.

If you go to a school that doesn't have P/F I don't think they will ask you for your quartile or class rank.
