The inaugural Northwestern University Interventional Oncology Training Symposium is a forum to introduce current/rising medical students and radiology trainees to this growing, innovative, and deeply rewarding subspecialty. The aim is to inspire the future leaders of this specialty.
Interventional Oncology has become the 4th pillar of Oncology, along with Medical, Surgical, and Radiation Oncology. Interventional Oncologists use image-guided, targeted, minimally invasive techniques to effectively treat cancer patients. The Division of Interventional Oncology at Northwestern University's mission is to provide superior patient care, discover innovative therapies and imaging techniques, and train future leaders of interventional oncology.
