Hello,
I am interested in UCONN. I am from CT and
would enjoy the cost-benefit from attending
UCONN, not to mention that it is a top
five dental program in the country.
HOw many students in a UCONN class have
the opportunity to enter into a speciality
such as OMS, and out of a class of how many?
Also, Dr Jeff, I have noticed you went to
UCONN, any chance of a reference?
Thanks,
Tim.

This years graduating class recently found out the results of their post graduate residency requests(AKA the match). They did very well. All 8 that were seeking oral surgery residencies got in, all that were seeking orthodontic residencies(I believe it was 3 or 4 graduates) got in. Thats roughly 1/4 of the class accepted into the traditional 2 most difficult specialties to get into. When I asked the 4th year students in my seminar course this week, they couldn't think of anyone in their class who didn't get into the type of residency they were looking for. This performance in the match is basically the normal results that I have seen in the 9 classes that have gone through it either while I was there or since I've graduated.
