So I have a Counselling Phd but I'm quite interested in a Phd for curriculum studies/learning sciences. Do any of you have experience with this sort of consulting work?
Sorry, there are many options, but this is usually all within the education faculty. Usually the outcome is admin positions with school districts, or College prof, or consulting with Universities about their overall goals, undergrad/grad programs, etc
A school of education contains numerous departments, including those that study psychology (counseling psychology being one of the common ones). Psychology does not study education despite being in the same school. It is akin to asking a psychology major to paint a beautiful picture because they are in the school of arts and sciences and being surprised when they say they can't.
