I have heard that it is impossible for an IMG to get an integrated spot. Is it the same for an IMG who does a 5 year general surgery residency and then a 2 year fellowship in plastics. Would the fellowship program still look negatively at the IMG status after the student has already matriculated through a 5 year GS residency program in the states??

thanks

Perhaps - but probably more significant is the fact that PRS has become increasingly competitive with the majority of applicants NOT matching, regardless of FMG/IMG status.

If you're interested, apply...you'll never know and tghe field may be totally different 4 years from now.
