Include Address in Letter of Intent with Phorcas System?

Since application and letter of intent submission has gone electronic, is it necessary to include the address of the director (where you would have sent the letter in the old days) in your letter of intent? I know typically I might do it in order to follow the format of a formal letter, but I want to keep my letter down to a page and some residency directors only include an email and phone on their webpage/brochure.

I had the same thought as you for a millisecond, but then I realized the standard format is what it is and everyone else will be using it. I want my application to stand out but not like that.

I included it for all of mine. It looks better with the headers.

I did not, here's how I formatted mine:

John. D. Doe, Pharm.D., BCPS, etc, etc
Director, PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program
University of X College of Pharmacy

I've seen others do the same and this allowed me to keep everything on one page
