I am trying to land a shadowing position within orthopedics and was
hoping to get some technical/practical evaluations
about the advantages and disadvantages of specific (shoulder, knee, hip or small joint) implants. I have been able to obtain a great deal of information and have been studying clinical procedural knowledge but was hoping to know some highlights or drawbacks about various implant lines such as those offered by Zimmer, Arthrex, Stryker, J&J, Encore etc. How clinically important are the differences (surgical or postoperatively) between different implants?
Any critiques/information/resources would be greatly appreciated.
