Hello. I'm an IMG who graduated in 2017. I took an year long break in my internship which was supposed to finish in 2016. Now it has been an year since I've graduated and I haven't done any preparation towards USMLE. I don't have any research work or any plausible explanation for the gaps in my studies. There were certain health issues which caused the gaps in my career. Would it be wise to start preparing now and apply for 2020 match? As it would take an year to prepare and another year for US clinical experience. I have always wanted to study in the US but due to unforeseen reasons I have been delayed. Is there any chance that I can compensate the breaks in my CV? I'd like your valuable opinion.
