As the 2019 Match season is done and it's high time for the ones who are aiming for 2020 to get serious. Therefore, i would like to start a thread help everyone on the path to a successful Match.

I'm considering IM after being primarily interested in EM for most of med school. My Step I is 249, my only pub is a single abstract, and I come from a low ranked MD school. I gather that top-20 programs are out, but what's the best I can realistically shoot for in terms of academic programs on the west coast or southwest (Texas, Arizona, etc)? In general, is there a ranking of programs people refer to that lists them in order of competitiveness?
