IM PRELIM: N.Shore Forrest Hills/FLUSHING/Mt.SINAI-Queens,JamaicaNY???

Hi

I was wondering which of these hospitals has the best reputation academically because I am going finto a prelim year and then will need to apply for a second year Neuro program

I wanted to know which one is better in reputation because it will probably make a difference for what second year position I get.....

I don't mind extra work load/scutwork/etc. because i just need to get through 1 year there with excelllent recommendations....

None of them are good. Seriously you should find something else.

All three are bad programs. Like the above post stated, you're better off finding another hospital to do your prelim. year. Preliminary I.M. positions are plentiful, and I doubt most applicants would have a problem.

but unfortunately i dont have many more choices except MOUNT SINAI CABRINI

i could go for the postmatch but that could leave me high and dry....


is there any one of these that is better than the others?

Prelim IM is much more competitive than categorial. All those 4 programs that you mentioned are weak. However, neuro is relatively not competitive right now, I am sure you will find some good academic programs.
