Ideal time to get Ophtho App in

For those that have already applied, if you could go back in time when would you have submitted your application? SF MATCH had September 1st as their target deadline. Any benefit to submitting your app earlier? How much earlier? I'm going to be applying this year and am just trying to figure out my timeline. (I've seen the thread that has a nice timeline, but I am still unsure about how early to get my App in). Thanks for your help, assuming I get help.

I had mine in by August 30th and everything was posted to the programs by the next day. I would recommend not cutting it so close and aim for early to mid August. It didn't seem to matter for most programs, but it never hurts to be on the earlier side.
