Hey everyone, thanks for you're time.

I am a Georgia resident. This will be my 3rd time applying, but my first time applying as a GA resident (I was a NY resident until last year)~
:(

MCAT
06/2010: 31Q (P10, V10, B11)
05/2012: 34M (P11, V10, B13)

I graduated from a top 20 undergraduate university.
cGPA: 3.55
sGPA:3.48
(I had a 3.08 cGPA at the end of my sophmore year, and then attained a 3.85 average over 2 the next years in order to raise it to a 3.55)

I have fairly strong ECs:
-with over 2 years of full-time research (40 hours a week) as a research specialist after graduating. But no publications.
-40 hours shadowing over 3 different physicians in 3 different specialities
-over 140 hours of hospital volunteering
-other miscellaneous ECs in leadership, music, and oversea mission trips.

I know to apply to:
Mercer
Medical College of Georgia (applied before)
Emory University (applied before)

Other than that, I am pretty stumped. Having faced so much rejection in the past, it feels like I'm just throwing away money by applying anywhere out of state.

For your current stats, some schools you might explore further to see if they "fit" you:

UWisc, Rush, Tufts, Cincinnati, Jefferson, Virginia Tech (newer, research focus), Temple, Albany,
Toledo, Wake, Creighton (unfriendly to CC credit?), Nebraska, LSU-NO, NYMC, Vermont, Hofstra (newer)
Wayne, Wright, Drexel, FAU (new), Tulane, MSU (high OOS tuition), Oakland (newer in MI), Penn State (requires a research thesis), Commonwealth in Pa (seeks to train rural NE PA docs), Arizona X 2,
VCU, Louisville, UIllinois (high OOS tuition), Buffalo, EVMS, RFU, Cooper (new)

As a person that has pretty much identical stats to yours (3.47/31q), you shouldn't be having this much trouble getting an acceptance. Your numbers are good, GPA a bit low but still right there, and your MCAT is awesome; especially for your in-state schools. My advice would be to apply to the schools that Catalys listed, make sure your secondaries are well written (have them edited for grammar and content), and really make sure you nail interviews. Practice interview questions with a friend, family member, etc. if you do these thing I have no doubt your goal of an acceptance will come to fruition this time around
