Air Force HPSP then AGR?

I'm an active duty 14N, but getting out next Summer to go to med school. I'm looking pretty hard at HPSP, but I'm mostly only interested if I can get an AGR slot to do my active duty payback time. I've been told you can do that, but how does that work? Do I need to get a unit to sponsor me before I go to med school, or do I need to Palace Chase afterwards?

HPSP is for active duty payback only. There are other programs for Guard and Reserve programs that I am not very familiar with. (STRAPP, or something like that)
