How to include shadowing experience in resume/application?

I recently shadowed a general dentist for a day. It seemed that her practice is pretty much the same daily (fillings,cleaning,bridges, fluoride treatments), so I don't think I would get much shadowing her again-unless if I happen to observe an unusual procedure. But I got enough just from observation the atmosphere.

I would like to shadow some more dentists to see how their practice is, and I have an interest to shadow specialists as well.

But the main reason I'm posting is to ask how to include this experience in my resume and application?

Example:

Shadowing Experience:

Jane Doe DDS, general dentist practicioner. Shadowed for a day.

This is how I listed my shadowing experiences:


Dr. Jane Doe, DDS (general dentist), Cleveland OH
Shadowed 4-5 hours weekly from August 1 - October 1 2003

I'm not sure how in depth we were to go on it, but I figure any further details could be brought up during an interview. Besides, the dentist whom I worked with the longest wrote a LOR.
