Hello!
This summer I have been volunteering in a residency program office doing administration duties. However, a couple of days ago I was introduced to a doctor, who told me I could swing by his office whenever I am in need of wanting to talk about medical school, overall help in general. I, of course, am very interested as nobody in my friends or family are in the medical field. However, I am a little scared to approach this doctor. Don't get me wrong--he is extremely kind but I'm really shy and I wouldn't know what to say. I am interested in possibly building a good rapport with this doctor first, but what should I even say if I do drop by his office? Ask about shadowing? Should I send an email? I am completely lost, can anybody help?

Don’t overthink it. Shoot an email and ask when they aren’t busy and drop by. Ask questions!
