Just that. Campbell's bio has a pretty dense section dedicated to DNA sequencing. I really don't feel like reading it unless it's important to know..
 
Gene sequencing is looking at the codons and using that chart to find which amino acid it corresponds too so unless they give you a chart don't worry about that too much. Also there is just knowing the nucleotide sequence when a 5' to 3' strand is transcribed/translated.
