Dear Advisor,
I went to see a pre-health advisor and she told me that there's no chance for international student to do medicine in US. Is there an other alternative? She suggested me going back to my own country and get an MD and then come back to US and do my pre-med. It's a very long time like 10-15 years? She also suggested me to go to Cuba and do my MD.
Is there any suggestions/ alternatives for me to do medicine in US?
Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

This is not altogether true because many of my classmates were international grads.
The problem arises in funding. It is very difficult to get loans if you are not a US resident. Most of the international students I knew were well off and their families paid their way.

If you can come up with funding, it shouldn't be a horrible disadvantage.

Not entirely fair, but I wish you success!
