Southern Coast Spine & Pain Specialists is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rheumatologist to join our medical team in Beaufort, South Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with a variety of rheumatological conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients with rheumatological conditions, including physical examination, medical history review, and diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, osteoarthritis, and other autoimmune disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with other medical professionals, including primary care physicians, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies to aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of disease activity.
  • Prescribe and manage medications and other treatment modalities, such as physical therapy or joint injections, to improve patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of a Rheumatology fellowship.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of South Carolina.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other medical professionals.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
