Is there a standard length of time that post op hip precautions (flexion adduction and IR) persist? It seems that it varies between surgeons.

It depends on which surgery was done and the surgeon.
 
standard approach, (not "minimally invasive") cemented bipolar arthroplasty using Zimmer components.
