Hi all,

I am entering my 4th year of residency and it is made up of entirely electives. I am trying to work with my program to see if I can do BOLC and the AMEDD course during elective time. I was wondering if anyone knew if this was possible or has done this during residency?

No luck. We had a discussion about this topic before at a residency I worked with and the consensus was that BOLC and DCC were not relevant to the medical training and therefore were not permissible for elective time (although residents could be permitted to use pooled time off to attend or take extra leave to make up after conclusion of training).

Much more likely at the medical school level, where you can make a better case that it has "educational" value.
