Over on reddit a new private subreddit has been created called r/medicalpirates and you can find just about any resource you want there in terms of textbooks and study guides.

You do either have to have enough reddit karma or prove you have a good seeding ratio somewhere to join though.

Hi,
I have the option of teaching as an adjunct at a community college (cc) in a small town that has nothing to do at all. I also have an offer to work at a research lab at a renown research institution located in a vibrant city. Both have very little pay; the later I will have to probably work a second job to support myself. I like research and wanted to keep it.

Which one should I keep? Will teaching at a cc be frowned upon by ad com?

So I'm a third year med student and the app that has made me shine the most in front of attendings and residents has been VisualDx. This app helps me to build a differential diagnosis like a champ.
My friend sent me these VIP promo codes that can be used if you sign up before the end of 2013. Just enter this promo code when you are checking out: GPC67A103

Here is a 2-minute video on it just in case you want to know more here.

Thanks so much for the links!!! Those anatomy links will come in hand in a week when my semester starts!! :)

Hey guys, I wanted to spread the word about a private subreddit that has a vast collection of "resources" by medical students for medical students.

You will need a Reddit account and you will also need to prove that you are a medical student or in the medical profession!
This can be done via various ways(picture of student ID, schedule, white coat, books, work station, etc)...everything will remain confidential with the mods!
You can also do this by telling us something only a medical student would know! 10000 points for creativity!!

http://www.reddit.com/r/MedicalPirates/

You can message myself on reddit (ronak71) or (adderall_and_reddit)!

May the odds be forever in your favor!

is it available to pre-medical students as well?

If you're looking for some vignette style questions for diseases or radiography questions, Figure1 is pretty decent. It's a free smartphone app with real life photos and scans of patients taken by physicians daily that remove any identifying information, then ask you to identify the disease present. If you're on mobile, the link is here: http://download.figure1.com/winter2015?m=110
I've found it pretty useful so far.

I wanted to resurrect these links

OK, I just spent a good chunk of the morning trying to weed out broken links, add new stuff (thanks for the suggestions), and try to organize the list a little better (ie, alphabetize by basic science type). Feel free to add to this or shoot me a PM if you have something to add or find a broken link.

It looks like we could use some more resources in genetics, pharm, cell and molecular, behavioral sciences, and interviewing. I'm sure I'm missing some topics, too. Thanks for everyone's help who has compiled this list over the years! Looks like MadameLuLu and deuist are largely responsible for putting stuff together.

2 Minute Medicine is fantastic. A team of physicians write short summaries on the latest medical studies published in journals, most the same day the study is released.
