Hello everyone,
I hope this is the right subfield to post this thread to.
I'm currently an undergrad, studying physics. After graduation, I want to try to get into a medical school, which was my plan all along the way. However, due to my current degree not being as relevant to medicine as the other biological sciences I'm afraid that my chances might be low. I also want to improve my knowledge and improve myself while still in undergrad. Do you have any suggestions for me? As of what to read, what to do, what to try to learn?
Thanks!

Uhh. It doesn't matter what your degree is.

1. Have a groot sGPA/cGPA
2. Take the required pre-med prerequisites
3. MCAT
4. LORs
5. Check off the volunteering/shadowing check boxes

Agreed, don't overthink your med school app. You technically just need the prereqs and MCAT, so if you don't have enough time left in undergrad to finish your prereqs, then you might have to take them a la carte after undergrad at some local institution. To have a realistic chance, you need experiences in research/volunteering/clinical hours/ etc.
