give aspirin for acute ischemic stroke?

for step 3 purposes, what do you do when brain imaging shows acute ishemic stroke with no evidence of bleeding...patient is not a candidate for tPA as he was found with symptoms(ongoing) in the morning(duration unknown)...cardiac echo is normal.

a) supportive management
b) aspirin
c) heparin


from what i have read heparin is out, but some say only supportive, while other say give aspirin...thanks in advance

From what i know it is aspirin.
