This passage is giving me a migraine. I am not able to follow what is going on. The questions add to the confusion.

Example:

Like what the heck is this asking? Can someone read the passage and comment on what is going on.

I worked out the first question, Q1), on my own and literally took like 14 minutes on it and got it correct. Anybody else work on the passage and question? What did you think?
