I applied for PT school previously and was told by my letter writer they had follow up questions (like 1-10 ratings) from schools in addition to writing the letter. I was wondering if anyone knew if DO, or MD even, did this at all as well or heard of it.

Thanks!

PTCAS has a form that references need to fill out.

References there have a set of Likert questions to characterize the candidate.

There is no such form for references to AMCAS, AACOMAS, or AADSAS. Such forms may exist for advanced standing or transfer applications where appropriate.

Some prehealth institutional committee letters will rate candidates on a Likert scale similar to but not identical to the PTCAS reference grid. See my articles on academic competencies and professional competencies to understand rubrics that define the use of such scales.
