FM / OB Fellow Worth It?

Anyone think it's worth it to do OB fellowship after 3 years FM residency ? Is there more money earning potential in it in general?

Is there more earning potential? Yes.

Is it worth it? Only you can answer that question. That depends on your professional goals.

I considered an OB fellowship but decided against it due to the lifestyle (call schedule) and increased malpractice potential.

Depends on you. In most malpractice cases, you are judged against the standard of the specialist who's procedure you were attempting -- in terms of delivery, you would be judged against the standard of a residency trained Ob/Gyn. And don't forget, you're on the hook until your last patient turns 18.

Age here in PA at least where it can go to age 18 plus an additional 2 years of "discoverability." Yuck.
