Hey everyone,

I am a current PGY-3 integrated interventional radiology resident and am launching a new startup, flipMD, which is a marketplace for physician consultants to offer their acquired admissions expertise to both medical school and residency applicants. We are launching initially with a large group of residents (> 100 current resident physicians in every specialty throughout the country) offering both medical school and residency application advice (personal statement editing, secondary essay editing, residency/school-specific interview tips and tricks, program selection, general advice on how to approach the AMCAS/ERAS applications, how to open up geographic areas, writing letters of intent, etc.).

We are launching flipMD in mid-July and hope to reach as many college and medical students as possible who are interested in getting inside information from current physicians who have gone through the process of interviewing and gaining acceptance to the top programs in the country without paying ridiculous amounts of money to private consultants. The power of the flipMD marketplace is the ability to filter and search our consultants by their medical school or specialty/program to get very specific advice that pertains to you and your exact situation. For example, if you want to get into medical school or residency at UCSF, simply filter our consultants to work with physicians that are training at UCSF. Instead of paying a consultant thousands of dollars for non-specific advice, just come to our marketplace and post your specific job within your budget and wait for our consultants to respond directly to your post with their best offer. Then just wait for the work to be done in a timely manner and returned to you. You only release payment when you are satisfied with the quality of the work from your physician consultant.

Thanks to everyone that has reached out regarding the flipMD platform. We now have over 100 physicians (50/50 split between residents and attending physicians) signed up as consultants for the platform launch.

We are now focusing on building up a client list for our launch in early July. With that in mind, we are running a brand ambassador program with cash prizes. We are looking for any students currently enrolled in college or medical school (preference to those applying to either med school or residency this application cycle).
