whats the scope for fellowships in nuc med?. I know that we are eligible to do nuclear oncology,PET/CT fellowships. Can we do CV imaging?. HI, IMOTEP,whats the cutting edge reserach in nuc med which may be big in its clinical applications in the near future?.appreciate ur response.

There are a few CV nuclear medicine fellowships out there...these are mainly research oriented. As far as the scope? is concerned, particularly in CV imaging: This includes cardiac SPECT, MUGA, PET, PET/CT and PET/CTA.

PET/CT (oncologic, neurologic, and cardiac) is by far the biggest research focus in nuclear medicine. I suspect it will be for the coming years.

PET/MR is around the horizon...
