Hey guys,
I am an IMG with J1 visa that started residency late because credentialing/visa etc.
I am debating whether I should apply this year or next year since I won't finish IM residency until September 2013.
Will programs not interview me or rank me because I am 3 months off cycle?

Just as with the residency match, if you can't start on time, you can't apply. So yes, you need to wait.

I understand that you are in a sticky situation with J1 visa. MY advice to you - you need to sit down with your program director and ask if they can waive your three months off. people have done that in the past and if you are in good terms with your PD - program might go all out and do that for you...So, you might be able to apply this year as well, otherwise next year.
