Okay, I applied for an away in FM, and I got it, BUT it is with their OB team. Is this okay if applying FM and getting a letter from them? I just want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row here.

They are, and residents.

I think it should be okay, but you might want to talk to one of the FM faculty in your facility and just ask what they think.

If they are family doctors I think it would be fine. None of the programs I applied to had any specifications about the FM letter other than that it was from an FM doc.

This is what i’ve been hearing. Either way, I managed to get half the clerkship OB and half of it outpatient!
