Hello:

I was wondering how extra degrees are viewed by program directors. I know that Ph.D. are very helpful, but what about MBA or MPH or soemthing that's not a PhD. I've heard many programs look for people with dual degrees, is this true?

They might find the other degrees to be interesting, but it's not going to be a huge selling point for you. The PhD is desirable because it means that the candidate has lots of research experience and can probably bring some new ideas/techniques to the lab.
