I marked "no" on ERAS regarding interruptions or extensions in my medical school timeline. However, I had an extension due to a leave of absence related to board exam challenges. Unfortunately, I can't edit my application now that it's submitted. Is this a significant concern? Should I consider adding a brief explanation in my personal statement, highlighting what I've learned from this experience in terms of recognizing past board performance and the need for course correction?

Did this actually result in you taking more than 4 years to graduate? If not I would not worry about this.

If it did then it is going to seem very odd that presumably your MSPE and this question will not match. I am still not sure I would highlight it in your personal statement but you will definitely be asked about it in an interview setting
