Hi everyone,

This is a question that comes from my peers, but I wanted to get feedback. Some facts are slightly changed.

An applicant with significant research experience wants to apply MD or MD/PhD but wants to include a link to a cloud document (Google doc) that lists the citations along with data/photos that have been published. Some work may also be in the form of short videos (edited for appropriate use in conference presentations). Basically can someone include a link to an e-portfolio?

1) Do all adcoms including MD-only see the MD/PhD-specific essays?
2) Would you recommend that the applicant include this link on the AMCAS application? If so, where should it go?
3) If there is not an appropriate place in the AMCAS application, does your school-specific process allow for such supplemental information to be made available to the MD/PhD admissions committee?
4) Is this happening in PhD-only applications too? How about in applying to postdocs?
5) Other thoughts? What have you seen? Is this common?
