I'm told now they shine a light thru the contact so evaluated restorations. could someone explain that?

I feel like when I've done restorations that didnt allow light to pass it shredded floss (which seems to be a fail)

can anyone clarify?

floss must be able to go through and the contact must be VISUALLY closed.

shredded floss could mean no occlusal embrasure or interproximal contact that's too big

chances are if floss is being shredded, the contact is probably there although its ideal-ness may be arguable.
