Okay, can someone explain to me the difference between the CAF and the CV on ERAS? Which one gets sent to residency? They almost have identical information. I dont really understand this.

Pretty much the same thing.

When you input in your information on ERAS, you can print it out in two formats...one of which is in a CV format.

What I'm trying to say is that you don't need to write a separate CV and CAF for ERAS purposes.

I get it that you can print it in both formats, but which format do the PDs print them out in. I realize this is a bit picky, but is impacts the presentation of the material.

yeah, I wish I knew too. the CAF layout is much nicer than the CV. the ERAS-generated CV is ugly.

-AT.

i've been told that the CAF is what PDs care about.
