Equivalence and Practise of Medicine in Ireland

Hi All,

I'm a medical student, intership (7th year) , in Tunisia, I'll get graduated the following october. My family will relocate to Ireland Dublin. What are the possibilities to continue my studies as resident to get specialisation. I tryed to search on the internet but I did not get any reponse.
Certainly I have to sit for some exam to recognise my diploma. Could you please help me to find information. what are the fees? in what university shall I apply?

Hi, before you can come to Ireland and work, you need to register with the Medical Council who regulate the medical profession in Ireland. You may need to sit the TRAS (Temporary Registration Assessment Scheme) exam in order to enter the medical register.

Once you have established your eligibility to practice here, you can join training schemes in medicine, surgery, GP etc. Some links include:

Hi,
thanks for your reponse, so it's possible to get equivalency for the diplma, and also to continue my studies for getting specialisation.
Once I'll get my equivalence and during the specialisation curses (residency), do we have some financial aid ? (are there also any fees for studing as resident)?
