I have a question for those in the Irish system, as to what specialist qualifications are required to practise Emergency Medicine in Ireland? Are there still GPs who work in A&E? Or is the only pathway now through completion of the Emergency Medicine Training Programme?
The reason I ask, is because I am eligible to obtain MICGP specialist registration through reciprocity, and would like to know if this will allow me to work in Emergency Medicine.
