Hey guys, I am getting confused with the ellipse formula. I've been utilizing the DAT Bootcamp formula sheet that says the major/minor axis is a/b, however while working on this question, it says that the minor axis would be "2b" and not just "b"

So which is correct? Thanks!

Okay, so similar to a circle, the radius is r, while the diameter is 2r right? But in the formula, we use "r" and not "2r"; r is half the length of the diameter
Here, in the equation it uses "b". "b" is only half of the length of one of the "diameters" of an ellipse.
The question asked for the full length of an axis (a "diameter" of an ellipse), so while b is used in the equation, it represents only half the length; the full length would be 2b.
Hope this helps :)
