My question is probably pretty easy to answer, but I just cant figure it out. When talking about call schedule during residency what does Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 mean? I would really appreciate it if someone could please answer this for me. Thanks

Q in the medical world means "every," so call Q2 is every 2 nights, Q4 is every four nights, and so forth.

Similar to dosing frequencies for meds, like Q4H = every 4 hours, QAM = every morning, etc.
