Is there a list or resource that shows which residencies have dual accreditation from ACGME and the AOA? Thanks.

I recently emailed the AOA about this. Once I get a response I will post it.

I just spoke to someone at the AOA. She told me that the term "dually accredited" is outdated and no longer used. (?)

She told me that there ARE allopathic residencies that are "contracted" with the AOA. Completion of these programs will allow a DO to sit for osteopathic boards and enjoy all rights and privelages as if you completed an exclusive Osteopathic residency.

The AOA website does NOT have a listing of these programs. The AOA website only lists osteopathic residencies. This woman told me I would need to contact the AMA in order to get a list of these programs that are contracted with the AOA.

I don't know why the AOA wouldn't have a list of these programs. You think they would since they are the ones "contracting" them.

But, that's where I am.

I'm going to contact the AMA and see what I can find out.

Stay tuned!
