Hello! I’m new to exploring pre-vet - and wanted to know if it matters where you get your grades? Does it matter if you take it at a reputable 4 year college? (For example prerequisites from UCLA vs some Cal State?)

also what if you choose to take different prerequisites from different schools?
I’m planning to move next year sometime so I’m trying to plan taking all the prerequisites and need some advice!
Thank you 💖
Where you take your prereqs don't matter as much as the grades you get in them. Whether you take it at Harvard or your state school, you want to get the highest grade possible. You can take them at different schools. I took courses at five different schools and I was never asked about it.

The courses don’t matter where they come beyond performance however in terms of resources (at least in the way of premed) UCLA will have a lot more. How much that applies to vet is variable but mainly depends on the same buckets of ECs, research, leadership.
