know if its possible to switch into IM from FP as a second year? I am currently a 1st year Fp resident.....looking to switch residencies. Does the entire year transfer...or do I get partial credit only? Any info would be appreciated.....also, does anyone know of any IM programs with openings for pgy2 next summer..

They should be willing to allow you transfer the credits, which means that you would get less subspecialty rotations in your latter two years. In your PGY-2 year, you will have to do some PGY-1 level rotations to make up. Hopefully, you will then graduate on time.
