From my searches, it appears CVS does not allow it. What about Walgreens/Rite-Aid/Kroger/Walmart etc ???

Walmart 401(k) does not seem to permit after-tax contributions

Walgreens: no.

They do actually have a Voluntary Investment Plan where you can make after-tax contributions, but most pharmacists are on the cusp of being ineligible if you are a Highly Compensated Employee with a base salary over $120k. Furthermore, I don't think you can make an in-service rollover to a Roth IRA.
