So I have a 3.45cgpa and am taking the mcat on July 6th, meaning my app. won't be in until early august. What are my chances at DO schools as well as these one-year masters programs in biomedical sciences at Western, Touro-CA, and LECOM?

if you're going to do a SMP - why not do one at a MD school?

your GPA is fine for DO, you just need a MCAT score...

Okay thanks I will look into that. Any info on typical GPA/MCAT averages for MD SMPs?

different per program. I know at my home institution its a 3.45/28.3

If a SMP does not have a direct linkage to its med school DO NOT DO IT. A ton of pseudo-smp's have started up that will get you no where (UofM/case etc.)!!!

look for "x% of students are accepted into the MD program"

Honestly, don't waste your time with an MD SMP if you are willing to go D.O. Save yourself the money. The stigma is disappearing for DO, and with the DO match, things like plastics, derm and surgery are still on the table for you.
