Do I need to apply for a student visa if I go to a Carribean medical school? If so, how long does it take to get one?

If you are a US permanent resident or citizen, you can go pretty much wherever you want and live there for a while without a visa including the Caribbean.

You will eventually get a student visa through the school but do not need one for your first semester as most islands let you stay for up to 6 months at a time w/o a visa (assuming you are a US citizen).
