Do board certified Trauma surgeons handle burns

I was wondering if a trauma surgeon is able to handles burns and/or burn surgery without doing a burn fellowship. Thanks in advance.

This is mostly cultural or institution-driven. Most significant burns will be transferred or referred to a regional burn center. The surgeon(s) there are usually fellowship trained in burn care or at minimum have chosen to devote a significant portion of their practice to taking care of burn victims. A trauma surgeon could take care of these patients if they were interested and wanted to.
