Dental School App Question!

Hello,

I have a question regarding the prerequisite courses needed to apply to dental school. A little about me, I graduated from UC Berkeley with a 3.5 and a BS in Molecular Bio. I am now participating in UC Berkeley Health Professions Post Bacc Program, since there were certain courses I want to still take before applying.

I am noticing that with certain schools (UCSF being one of them) that Biochemistry is a prerequisite that needs to be taken at a 4 year institution. Just to be clear... I am taking biochemistry this semester through my Berkeley Post Back program.. does that not work for certain dental schools?

I would think that UC Berkeley would count as a 4year institution...I think they mean not taken at a community college.

I'm fairly sure you will be okay with taking biochem with the UCB postbac program. I anticipate UCSF will confirm this.
