I'm at a school where the faculty also teach the dental and optometry students. I can't help but feel like we are getting way more dental info than we need for boards. I'm wondering from anyone who has taken Step/Comlex. Did you see much about gum disease, tooth development, and things like that? We're in micro for example and there is all this stuff about oral bacteria, fine, but then we're spending all this time learning about how to treat dental caries and the bacteria involved (none of which are covered in Sketchy) and the progression to gingivitis and periodontists. Will ANY of this come up down the road?
