I want to buy within the next two weeks? Any suggestions?

Finally M3 said:I'm probably gonna go for the Axim. Get a lot for the price, hospital has WiFi, only downside being that there is a 1 month wait from dell.com for them.
I have a copy of UptoDate for it...how can I not get one?
I agree. I love my Axim 400MHz.Heeed! said:I have the 400MHz Axim and love it.
Lodoc said:I hear you, but if you put uptodate on it, will you have much room (memory) for anything else?
DireWolf said:T3 is far superior.
Superior operating system.
Just as fast in real-time.
More reliable.
Free medical software.
Longer battery life.
Only negative is no internet. But there is never a need to access the internet at the hospital.

(unless they didn't know better)
and 624 MHz too? Believe me, I would wait if I could get it in a palm version. I'd rather have a Palm, but the Dell just seems too hard to pass up.Adawaal said:Or you can wait for the upcoming T4 which will have 802.11 Wi-Fi capabilities...

Krafty said:Real Time, what the crap is that...? 400mHz vs 624mHz? That's a ~30% upgrade "in real time"
More reliable - ya, unless you want to find a file somebody just bluetoothed/IRd and it ended up somewhere in the vast abyss of the Palm OS. you can't search for individual files because...Palm OS is just THAT user friendly.
Free medical software - how about more free software for the PPC than outdated Palms.

No INTERNET? How about you join us in THIS CENTURY. WiFi is the standard (at least right now before UWB comes here from Asia).
And a lot of hospitals right now have WiFi (at least PENN does)
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY
How about PRICE?
T3 - ~$450 vs X30 $314
Dell Axim x30 $314.00
(special till the end of the month)
Who in their right mind would get an outdated, inferior and MORE EXPENSIVE system ?
(unless they didn't know better)
DireWolf said:Real time means ....was no difference.
I bought my T3 brand new for $315 about 6 months ago.
Palm software is superior. Hardware is more reliable.
Don't need Wifi at the hospital.
Palm has better and more free medical software. Sorry.
You are obviously ******ed.

Krafty said:First of all, what are you in KINDERGARTEN...(No my dad can kick your dad's ass)? Grow up...if you're gonna say something back that shiznit up, biotch.
BENCHMARKS (X30 blows all other PPC away - T3 doesn't even register):
http://www.bargainpda.com/reviews/default.asp?reviewID=291
and Palm software works fine...if you are a MacIntosh newb. ooooh...look at the colors...soooo pretty!
and THE PRICE?
You're shi&^*% me with your $315 unless you bought it off of some poor sucker on ebay. Office Depot has it for $400 boneZ.

So don't spread the hate just cause you bought a shytty piece of crap and now regret it.
ps. Hospitals without WiFi still use leeches and bloodletting. Get with the program.
DireWolf said:I found several stores selling the T3 for below $350. Catch a sale and you're looking at $310-$330.
Sorry to hear that you paid more than I did and still received an inferior product. Have fun spending hours talking with Dell customer support.
ps. our hospital has Wifi. But I don't need it to look up gay porn like you do.
Krafty said:What do you have against gay people? Bigotry gettin' the best of you?
FIRST OF ALL I have the 4155, and I don't need support for a simple PPC.
SECOND OF ALL, I'm not talking about REFURB/rebuilt shait (which is what you obviously got), I'm talking about brand new units.
While there are some $370 deals on the BRAND NEW T3, they come from sites like http://www.direwolfshouseofunfunnycommentsandcrap.com with exceptionally snappy customer support (no idea what they're talking about).
Anyway, you're just a student, so I wouldn't expect you to know that Palm is like the Mac or SONY Clie, Shiny but blows.
Enjoy your slow gameboy with pretty colors.
(Whatcha got b?)
DireWolf said:Sorry again. Brand new. Factory sealed.
take some internet classes.
you cannot find brand new T3's for under $350.

southerndoc said:I don't have much experience with the Axims, but I have a Pocket PC now (hp ipaq 5555). I was a previous Palm Vx, m505, m515, and Tungsten T2 user, and I have to say that this Pocket PC is a lot better. There are some things that I prefer on the Palm (the way contacts are sorted and how you can pull up a contact's full screen info, then hit the down key to scroll through them), but overall I like the features of the PPC better.
The cool thing is that I just recently bought a Moto V600 Bluetooth phone. So now I can surf the internet off my PDA through my cell phone's Bluetooth connection. (No, this is NOT exclusive to PPC's. Tungsten's also do this.) I think the PPC has a better web interface (Pocket IE) than the Palm does.

If we didn't agree about MacGyver sucking, I would have had to spread the love again.
Cheers.
